Tending the Grief Garden: March 23rd
Sun, Mar 23

We will use creative and personal writing, as well as mindfulness exercises, to build our capacities to metabolize grief. Despite how it is often depicted and discussed, writing is a social activity with a solitary component– and that is the balance we strive to strike

About the event
In our March 23rd session we’ll explore The Grief House’s second philosophy: We work to support each other from places of differing losses. We need not have the same source of loss to support each other. We’ll go on a brief scavenger hunt in our spaces, meditate with the objects we find, and write letters to and about what/who we’ve lost.
In this workshop series we explore The Grief House’s five philosophies through engaging our own story and the memories we carry from each of those stories. The series runs five weeks, and drop ins will be welcome each week as well. We will use creative and personal writing, as well as mindfulness exercises, to build our capacities to metabolize grief. Despite how it is often depicted and discussed, writing is a social activity, with a solitary component– and that is the balance we strive to strike in this workshop series.
